Gelato Messina Launches VHS Gelato Cake for Father’s Day

Have no idea what to gift your dad for Father’s Day? Why not a VHS-shaped ice cream cake?

To celebrate the holiday, Gelato Messina has launched a limited edition offering of VHS tape-shaped gelato-chocolate cake.

The cake, which is chocolate-orange flavoured, is layered with vermouth gelato, almond crunch, Negroni gel made with Archie Rose gin, and blood orange mousse. For the final touch, an edible VHS chocolate layer tops the cake – what’s not to love?

Max Brenner Drizzles Chocolate on Anything for Free This Friday

Do you know this Friday is World’s Chocolate Day? To celebrate, Max Brenner is covering your stuff in melted chocolate.

On Friday, July 7, customers can bring in anything to a Max Brenner shop to get in drizzled in chocolate for free.

So far, the shop has suggested to bring the following: burgers, pizzas, salads, shoes, avocado toast, magazines, or your boss. However, animals and forbidden/inappropriate items cannot be drizzled – other than that, it should be good to go.

All Max Brenner stores across Australia are participating, so get ready and get excited.

Event: Festival of Chocolate, Sydney

Got winter blues? Festival of Chocolate is back this year to fix that.

The two-day festival of sweet indulgences will be back at The Rocks this August, featuring cooking demonstrations and chocolate making by artisan chocolatiers and industry heavyweights such as Dean Gibson, Kirsten Tibballs (Savour School Melbourne), Jean Michel Raynaud (La Renaissance Patisserie) and more. You can also enjoy a wide range of chocolatey goods – bean-to-bar chocolate, macaroons, chocolate custard profiteroles, gelato, and even espresso martini topped with Nutella balls!

Nutella Road Trip is Back on the Street

Nutella Road Trip is back this month – and everything is free. Yep, you read that right.

After last year’s trip around Sydney and Melbourne, The Nutella food truck is back to tour NSW and Queensland from June 22 to July 5. The menu, created by The Nighthawk Diner’s Alistair Fogg who’s back for the second year, offers six Nutella-rich dishes. Expect both sweet and salty food, such as crumpets, sweet potato pretzels on toasted brioche, egg waffles, and more.
